Nuclamid

AJV-ENERGO, a.s. strives to use the latest technological developments in material, as represented by plastic based on polyamide PA-6, which has been successfully applied in power plants at mines, power stations, heating plants, or chemical plants, wherever there is an extreme surface stress and resistant materials are needed. Therefore, we would like to introduce NUCLAMID material

NEW MATERIAL BASED ON POLYAMIDE PA–6

Material characteristics

NUCLAMID is a linear aliphatic unmodified polyamide produced by the anion polymerization of 6-caprolactam using an original Czech catalytic system based on magnesium salts. This catalytic system results in a significantly reduced content at the crystalline phase while the proportion of hydrogen bridges is maintained.

The basic characteristic of NUCLAMID is its great toughness while retaining its strength and stiffness. This combination is necessary for lining materials resistant to abrasion and mechanical stress. Their excellent mechanical characteristics, low adhesion coefficient and high temperature resistance (from -60 °C to +140 °C) can be used for various structural elements.

  1. Lining the transport ways of loose materials:
    • Protecting the metal sheets of transport ways against wear and sticking
    • Lining underground coal reservoirs
    • Propeller refurbishing – lining of supporting columns in underground reservoirs
    • Abrasion and fuel hoppers of conveyor belt chutes
    • Conveyor belt drop beds
    • Coal-handling conveyor belt chutes, conveyor belt wiping boardsů
    • Protective lining of conveyor belt chutes
    • Sliding benches in the area of the hopper wipers of coal-handling conveyor belts
    • Coal path chutes under the crusher
    • Protecting of loading reservoirs against abrasion and the coal sticking as a replacement for the original glass tile lining
    • Flaps of conveyor belt hoppers for loading railway carriages
    • Surfaces used for transporting slag in coal power stations
    • Lining worm conveyors for transporting brown-coal dust
    • Lining of brown-coal suction equipment
  2. Lining of the surfaces of wheel loaders
  3. Lining of vibration benches for producing concrete products
  4. Lining of worm conveyors for food-processing
  5. Clicking boards
  6. Lining of tables in meat-processing industry
  7. Transport of draft and waste in breweries

Boards are supplied in size 930 x 550, and thickness 10, 12, 15, 20 and 30 mm

Basic characteristics of the material

NUCLAMID is a linear, aliphatic, unmodified polyamide produced by anion polymerization. Unlike most existing PA6 polyamides produced by anion polymerization using NaCL, sodium lactamate, which are always semi-crystalline, matrice NUCLAMID has a significantly reduced proportion of the crystalline phase. Therefore even unmodified NUCLAMID is very tough while retaining a relatively high E-module, i.e. strength and stiffness of the material. In addition to better physical-mechanical characteristics compared to competitive products based on PA 6 and ultra-high-molecular polyethylene, NUCLAMID has a high flash point of 460 °C, a high melting point of approx. 210 °C, and can be used short-term at 140 to 180 °C , long-term up to 140 °C.
